PROGRESSIVE PICS OF FORM WORK!

I will explain each pic as you see it.

THIS FIRST PIC SHOWS BOARDING UP OF SITE AND THE THINGS STICKING OUT IS WHAT IS CALLED "THE PLUMBERS RUFF IN. THIS IS TO AID IN CONNECTING TO THE MAIN FRESH WATER AND SEWER SUPPLIES.

THIS SHOWS THE DRILLED OUT HOLES CONRETED TO FORM THE PIERS WHICH THEIR WERE 51 PIERS.  (I COUNTED)

MORE OF THE SAME!

THIS IS WHAT THEY USE TO GET CONSISTENCE AND A BETTER MESH OF THE CONCRETE.
THEY JUST CALL IT (STEEL) BORING HA.

THE BIG TOMALEE. THESE ARE THE WAFFLE PODS.
WAFFLE PODS ARE A NEW AGE WAY OF CONSTRUCTING THE CONCRETE SLAB WITH OUT TRENCHING.
HOW THIS IS DONE AND WHY.  (ILL DO MY BEST)

FIRST THEY LAY A PLASTIC MEMBRANE OVER THE WHOLE SITE TO TERMITE PROOF IT.

THEN THEY LAY THE "STEEL" OVER THE TOP OF THE PLASTIC MEMBRANE.

THEN THEY LAY THE WAFFLE PODS DOWN IN A GRID LIKE PATTERN STARTING FROM 1 CORNER. (USING SPACERS TO MAKE SURE ALL IS CONSISTENT)
THEN IN BETWEEN THE GAPS THE SPECIAL SPACERS THEY USE HAS A PLACE WHERE THEY DROP A METAL ROD INTO SO THAT THEY DONT MOVE UNDER PRESSURE OF THE SLAB POOR.

THEN A TOP LAYER OF "STEEL" IS APPLIED (LIKE A SANDWICH)

WHEN THE CONCRETE IS POURED IT WILL FINISH ABOUT 20MM ABOVE THE TOP STEEL MESH.

AS IT'S BEING POURED THE PODS WILL FILL CONCLUDING A SLAB THAT IS LESS LIKELY TO MOVE UNDER NEWLY FORMED LAND SITUATIONS.

THIS ALLOWS A HOUSE TO BE BUILT QUICKER THAN NORMAL AS WHAT USE TO HAPPEN IS THAT WHEN YOU HAVE FINISHED BRICKING FOR EXAMPLE AND NEEDED TO CEMENT RENDER. YOU WOULD NORMALLY HAVE TO WAIT 3MONTHS BEFORE YOU COULD RENDER BECAUSE OF SLAB MOVEMENT. THESE DAYS IT'S 3WKS.

THUS THE WAFFLE PODS YOU SEE BELOW!

HOPE THIS HELPS. LOL ;) :)

"FINISHED SCRAPE"

Ok I couldn't help myself and had to see it for myself.

I went after work and the scrape has been finished. So I took plenty of pics lol just incase you thought i wasn't happy enough.

with this last pic you can see how much they cut for the sunken formal lounge room. Its about 650mm deep.

"SITE SCRAPE" WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO

Thats right,

I had the land SCRAPED today to prepare for the slab.

I'm told tomorrow the will drill and do the piers and board up for slab on Friday, however i dont think this will happen due to some bad weather we are having but i dont care. To see something happening FINALLY is just fantastic.

The following pictures are once again provided by Johnny and Loretta. I didnt even ask them to do it. I came back from a break and this email was there. How awesome are they.
Of course i will just have to go there myself tonight and see in real life.
I cant explain how fantastic i feel just knowing something finally is happening.
will update again soon.

YET ANOTHER SET BACK

Waterboard has declared "ZONE OF INFLUENCE" ::angry::

For those who dont know what this is, this means they say my home is too close to the main sewer pipeline so there for precautionary piering has to be engineered and carried out to prevent damage to their pipeline in case the structure collapses.
the norm is to make the builder pier down to the level of the pipeline several times to assure stability in that particular area.
they have not informed us as to how far yet. i do know this is going to cost me a bomb.

So this is why no site scrape yet and yet another hold up. On a good note the peg out has been done i am just waiting engineers to organise themselves which should be today and slab end next wk.

Another update... Myah is cluster feeding between 6 - 10pm. she takes a proper feed around 6 (takes 50mins) then she is taking snippets every 15 to 20 mins till around 10. Lyn is tired and i am exhausted but apparantly this is very common for fussy babies. They say they take small feeds to build up for a big sleep, (which she does) she will give Lyn 4 - 5 hrs after it. but the hard thing is the time it happens. As soon as i walk in the door i have to tend to josh which means i dont get to sit down till 9pm every night. (He is worth it though) :)

THE BIRTH OF MY LITTLE PRINCESS!

Myah was born on the 14th October 2010.
I am very sorry its taken me awhile to post it but I have been very busy.
she was 2.48kg and 48cm long as well being 2wks premi. Lyn is doing very well and doing an awesome job with feedings and everything else.
There is no jealousy with josh infact find him to be very loving and protective of his little sister.
I promise to post pictures for you.

Sorry but it took awhile.

MYAH'S FIRST BATH!
